It's no secret that one of my favorite summer accessories are basket bags. Just like in interiors, layering a variety of textures lends visual interest to the composition, and summer reads all sorts of wicker, rattan, straw, bamboo, you name it! I love lightweight pieces that are versatile -- just tie a bright patterned bandana for an instant pick-me-up.

SHOP THE LOOK

I love comfy, breathable pieces that aren't too fussy but still look put together. For a casual night out, I paired a light linen Vince frock with my favorite striped ruffle mules, and a bamboo clutch. I rounded out the look with a pair of tortoiseshell hoops and a fedora. Minimal gold jewelry and red lips are my go to's for adding a pop of color.

In case you were wondering, we had dinner at Trattoria Natalie (their shitake mushroom calamari, French onion soup, and nicoise salad are absolute musts!), followed by a show at Hollywood's Black Rabbit Rose, a vintage speakeasy-turned-variety-act, which included a medley of magic, music, and comedy along with craft cocktails. We weren't able to take pictures during the show, so you'll have to see it for yourself next time you're in town!
